Messiah Program Cancellation Policy

In case of winter or otherwise foul weather, the Pastor or, in his/her absence, his/her designated representative will make decisions concerning Sunday School and Adult Forum, Worship services, and other scheduled programs.

The decision to cancel programming for Sundays will be made by 8:00 am.

All Sunday morning programs and worship will either be held as usual, or cancelled together. There will never be a situation in which foul weather cancels just Sunday School.

Sunday afternoon and evening programs and classes will be cancelled if warranted. Likewise, meetings and programs and classes scheduled on Monday—Saturday may also be cancelled due to weather. The Pastor will make a decision concerning any of these at least one hour before their scheduled time.

A Sunday morning cancellation will be announced:

• On the web site www.messiahnh.org
• On the cancellation “crawl” on WMUR TV channel 9 (8 on Comcast)
• On the church office answering machine
• Via the Messiah email contact list (make sure we have your up to date address)

Other cancellations will be announced:

• On the web site
• On WMUR if available
• On the church answering machine
• Via email (be sure to check your email before any special event.)
• In certain cases involving smaller groups, telephone calls might be made

If you’re still unsure, call the Pastor (or President).

When in doubt, make the safe choice for you. Messiah will still be there the next week!

Just a reminder of our storm cancellation policy.

If it is snowing actively at 8:00 am, then Sunday school is cancelled.

If conditions warrant it, worship will be canceled – that decision will be made by 8:30 am and will be communicated via email, website, television (channel 9 WMUR), and by phone chain if deemed necessary.

When in doubt–call the pastor.

And the best judge of whether to come to church in the snow is you–do what you need to do to be safe.
